Ever since I was little, I've had a soft spot for big dogs. There's just something so comforting and majestic about them, isn't there? They do require a lot of mental stimulation and physical activity to be happy and well-behaved, but for an experienced owner who can provide that, a German Shepherd can be an unparalleled companion. Their size means they need to be well-mannered from a young age. Also, consider their grooming needs – some shed more, some need professional trims. And don't forget the food bill! Big dogs eat more.
