What sold 🥰
A few items sold over the past few days🙌A new version of my "what sold" videos I'm packing and shipping orders from eBay, Poshmark, and Mercari. I know many of you asked for shipping videos, so I hope you enjoy this one! #reseller #ebay #poshmark #mercari #shipping
As a reseller, one of the most common questions I get asked is, "What sells best?" It's a fantastic question, and honestly, the answer can vary, but I’ve definitely noticed some trends based on my own experience hitting those 'sold' notifications! My recent sales, including that Vintage 1987 Liars Dice Game and some classic Pfaltzgraff YORKTOWNE pieces, really highlight how unique and vintage items can be hot commodities. I've found that collectibles, like that Liars Dice Game, often do incredibly well on platforms like eBay, where enthusiasts are actively searching for specific, nostalgic treasures. Beyond vintage finds, branded apparel, even if it's pre-owned, is consistently popular. That Under Armour Women's top I sold is a perfect example. Quality brands, especially athletic wear or popular fashion items, tend to move quickly. Don't underestimate niche items either; sometimes a specific DVD, like the 3-2-1 Penguins one, or even a cozy Nordstrom Blue Knit Baby Blanket can find its new home faster than you'd expect. The key, I've learned, is to always keep an eye out for trending items, but also to recognize the enduring appeal of quality, vintage, or unique pieces. Now, about where to sell – it’s a whole different ballgame depending on your inventory! I use eBay, Poshmark, and Mercari regularly. Each has its strengths. Poshmark, for instance, has a vibrant community, and it's fantastic for fashion items, like that Under Armour top or other clothing and accessories. Buyers there are often looking for specific brands and are ready to engage. eBay, on the other hand, gives you a massive global reach and is excellent for those more unique, vintage items, or collectibles like the Liars Dice Game or the Pfaltzgraff pieces. You can do auctions or 'Buy It Now,' offering flexibility. Many of you also ask about Vinted, especially in comparison to Poshmark. From my perspective, Vinted is great if you're primarily selling clothing, shoes, and accessories, often at slightly lower price points. It can be a good option for clearing out more everyday wardrobe items. However, I often find that for branded or higher-value fashion pieces, Poshmark's community and buyer base are more aligned with getting a better return. Mercari offers a bit of a middle ground – it's straightforward for selling almost anything, from electronics to home goods, and its fees can sometimes be more favorable for certain items. My advice? Don't be afraid to cross-list, but always consider which platform's audience best suits the item you're selling. And remember, good shipping practices, especially for "FRAGILE" items or those needing "THIS END UP" care, are crucial no matter where you sell!
