Let’s Go 💪

Today’s goal is to get all these dishes washed and ready to be listed tomorrow.

Tomorrow is going to be a big listing day, so if I can get everything prepped now, I’ll be one step ahead.

It’s also my daughter’s 16th birthday, so I’m picking her up early from school and we’re heading out to lunch. I know I won’t get a ton of work done today, but that’s okay.

If I can at least get these dishes cleaned and ready, I’ll set myself up for a really productive day tomorrow 🤞

From personal experience, prepping your items—like vintage dishes—a day before listing can save a lot of last-minute stress and boost productivity. I usually dedicate a full day to clean, photograph, and describe each item in detail, ensuring they’re ready to be listed promptly. This approach gives me a head start and allows me to manage any unexpected tasks or personal commitments. Balancing work and family life is crucial, particularly when special occasions arise, such as a child’s birthday. Taking time to celebrate not only strengthens family bonds but also recharges your motivation. I find that scheduling breaks or lighter work periods around such events enables me to maintain my overall business momentum without burnout. When preparing vintage dishes for listing, focus on capturing their unique details—patterns, manufacturer marks, and any imperfections—to build buyer trust. Clear, high-quality photos paired with honest descriptions can significantly improve your sales success. Additionally, using specific hashtags like #vintagedishes, #resellerlife, and #workfromhome on social media helps connect with niche communities and potential buyers. Ultimately, efficient prep days combined with flexibility make reselling fulfilling and manageable, even on busy days. Setting realistic goals, prioritizing tasks, and celebrating milestones with loved ones keep both your business and personal life thriving.
