One Tough B*tch

#gettoknowme

Sitting here in the chair getting my last round of Chemo I can't help but look back. Look back at these past 12 months and smile at the amount of love, compassion and community I have been blessed with. I've embraced the saying "one day at a time" and I've allowed life to build a path for me. I'm fortunate that everything has worked out the past 3 months.

I've had minimal side effects which has allowed me to go back to work. I've been able to enjoy the last few weeks behind my chair and connecting with my clients again. The chemotherapy is doing its job and my cancer is no longer palpable. I won't know anything for sure until after my MRI (which is scheduled for tomorrow) but l'm hopeful.

I have all of you to thank. Your prayers have not gone unnoticed and I appreciate everyone who has reached out and checked in on me. This community truly is amazing and it surprises me on a regular basis.

I have a couple of surgical consultations coming up before I make my final decision on what's next. Surgery will be scheduled for sometime in February followed by a year of HER2 treatments. Depending on the pathology reports they may or may not have to add additional chemotherapy after surgery.

I will continue to keep you all updated and again, thank you for your prayers. If you have any to spare please keep me in your thoughts while I make my decisions about Surgery and wait for my MRI results.
