It’s been a while since I last posted — life’s been pretty hectic with work, but things are finally a little more settled now.
I’m currently serving my notice and taking a short break before the next adventure begins (fingers crossed all goes well 🤞🏼).
Lately, I’ve been feeling a little stuck and lost in my corporate journey, and it’s made me pause to reflect on my priorities.
Sometimes, I really resonate with how people these days romanticise the idea of having a career that feels fulfilling — one that offers flexibility and the freedom to take breaks and see the world. As I grow older, that’s something I find myself craving more and more.
Yet, I also recognise that corporate roles have their own sense of purpose and stability.
Who’s to say which is better, right? 🤷🏼♀️ At the end of the day, it all comes down to what truly matters to you.

From personal experience, stepping away—even briefly—from the daily hustle shifted my perspective profoundly. It’s easy to get caught up in the routine corporate grind, which often clouds our sense of purpose and blurs what truly matters.
During my break, I embraced the mindset of “Not rushing. Just trusting.” This simple approach allowed me to surrender control and open up to new possibilities. I engaged in small rituals, like savoring a lemonade break—something to symbolize refreshing my mind and spirit. These moments of mindfulness gave me space to reassess my priorities beyond titles or paychecks.
Many people romanticize careers that offer complete freedom and flexibility, and I understand that appeal deeply. Being able to explore the world or work on your own terms can be incredibly fulfilling. Yet, the stability and clear purpose a corporate role provides shouldn’t be underestimated. Both paths carry value; it’s about finding the balance that resonates with your personal goals and wellbeing.
If you’re feeling stuck or lost in your current journey, consider creating intentional space for reflection. Whether through short breaks, journaling your thoughts, or chatting with like-minded peers, these steps help clarify what inspires you and what kind of chapter you want to write next. Remember, it’s okay not to have all the answers immediately—trusting the process is key.
