Another Chapter

Tomorrow I’ll start a new chapter on my journey, I’ll start a new job. I’m excited, but super nervous at the same time. It’s a place that I’ve been wanting to work since I discovered about it, six months ago! I wanted a better pay, not gonna lie, but I need anything I can get right now and I’m sure I’ll be super happy and fulfilled in this place. I just worry I don’t have a car and where I live, we don’t really have o public transportation, so I’ll need to rely in ride apps til I’m able to prove my income to buy me a car. I was in a position so much worse than this, dealing with depression, that it doesn’t matter what happens and how difficult it gets, I’m willing to make it work. I have faith and I’m so proud of myself that I have something! That I am functional enough that I am able to WORK! Three to four months ago I didn’t want to be here at all, I couldn’t see a light at the end of the tunel, I couldn’t find a reason to keep going and now I have my own job and tomorrow is my very first day. Life is good, God is great. Stay positive! I’m so grateful I stayed.

Many people share similar experiences of anxiety when transitioning into a new role, especially when they are emerging from challenging times such as depression. Embracing vulnerability can be a key part of this journey. In today's job market, it's common to seek better salary options and career satisfaction. However, logistical challenges such as transportation can add stress, particularly when we rely on ride-sharing apps. It's important to connect with support networks, like colleagues or online communities, which can offer encouragement and practical advice. Reflecting on past struggles can provide motivation. For those who have faced mental health challenges, the progress represented by a new job is a huge step forward. Seeking treatment and mental wellness practices can also contribute to a successful transition. Stay positive and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. Wishing everyone well in their career ambitions and life changes!
