Coffee with Horses 📍 Hemet, Ca

Okay, so I’ve seen some people search about "horse drinking coffee" or "can horses drink coffee," and I just wanted to clear something up based on my experience and what I've learned from places like T.H.E. Center. While the idea of a horse sipping a latte might sound cute or funny, it’s actually not good for them at all! Horses are incredibly sensitive animals, and their digestive systems are very different from ours. Caffeine, which is in coffee, is a stimulant. For horses, even small amounts of caffeine can cause problems. It can lead to increased heart rate, anxiety, muscle tremors, and even colic or digestive upset. Their bodies aren't equipped to process it safely, and it definitely doesn't belong in their diet. They need fresh, clean water, and plenty of it, along with a balanced diet of forage (hay and pasture) and sometimes specialized feed. So, when we talk about "Coffee with Horses," it's definitely about us enjoying coffee while we're with the horses, not sharing our brew with them! And speaking of that, I absolutely love the 'Coffee with Horses' event at T.H.E. Center, Inc. in Hemet, California! It's such a unique way to spend a Saturday morning and connect with these incredible animals. What makes it even more special is that T.H.E. Center is a fully volunteer-run nonprofit organization. Their mission is truly heartwarming: they make equine interactions and the wellness they bring accessible and enjoyable for everyone in our community. I mean, how amazing is that? When you visit, you get to feed the horses, interact with them, and just soak in the peaceful atmosphere. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see firsthand the incredible work this nonprofit does, fostering community wellness through horse-assisted activities and events. They've been serving the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley since 1984, which is incredible! You can find them at 27260 Girard St, Hemet, California. It’s the perfect spot to get your animal fix and feel good about supporting a local cause. Just remember, it’s for us to enjoy the coffee while we appreciate these majestic creatures. So mark your calendars for the second or fourth Saturday of the month, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. It’s truly an experience that rates 10/10 in my book!
