We spend so much time asking God for things and complaining when we don’t get it. Instead of asking the question what do you need from God, I’m asking what has God done for you? Instead of complaining about something you don’t have, thank God for what he HAS blessed you with. #lemon8diarychallenge#embracevulnerability#unfiltered#Lemon8Diary. I’ll start by saying God has shown me a lot about myself and the people I surround myself with. I realize that God has a plan for each and every one of us and someone’s plan might not be the same as yours but God is working it for your good. God is removing things and people from my life so that I can go down the path he wants me to go down. God has recently showed me that sometimes things I considered a blessing were more of a lesson that I needed to learn. What about you? 🩷 I love you but God loves you more.

... Read moreIt's so easy to get caught up in the 'what ifs' or the things we think we're missing, isn't it? But, like the original post shared, taking a moment to truly reflect on what God has already done for us can shift everything. For me, it’s been a journey of learning to trust that even when life feels completely overwhelming, God genuinely has my back.
I remember a time when I felt so lost, questioning every decision. I was praying constantly, asking for clarity, and honestly, feeling a bit frustrated that answers weren't appearing overnight. But then, it was almost like a gentle whisper, reminding me of that powerful promise: "I am with you, so do not be afraid. I am your God, so do not be upset. I will make you strong and I will help you. My powerful right hand will keep you safe." This verse, or similar promises, has always given me such a profound sense of courage, even when I felt like I had none left. It's in those moments of vulnerability that I truly felt God making me strong. It's a reminder that we don't have to face anything alone, and that alone can be so empowering.
There have been so many instances where I've looked back and thought, "Wow, I know that was you, God." Whether it was a door unexpectedly opening right when I needed it, or a difficult situation resolving itself in a way I never could have planned, those moments solidify my faith. It’s not about grand miracles every day, but often in the subtle ways He guides us, diverts us from paths that aren't meant for us, or brings the right people into our lives at just the right time. Feeling that divine orchestration truly makes you understand "quotes about God having your back" on a personal level. It’s not just a saying; it’s a living truth.
And speaking of divine orchestration, sometimes God uses challenging situations to teach us profound lessons. There have been times I've hurt others, or been hurt myself, and the weight of that can be immense. While the original post touched on God removing things for our good, I've also learned about His incredible capacity for grace and forgiveness. When I've stumbled and prayed for understanding, I’ve found comfort in knowing that God still loves you, even when you're not at your best. This profound love encourages me to extend grace to myself and others. It might not be a specific "bible verse about being sorry for hurting someone," but the overarching message of redemption and love in scripture certainly guides how I approach making amends and seeking healing.
Reading through different bible verses about courage, especially from versions like KJV, has also been a source of immense comfort. When I needed strength to move forward or to forgive, or even just to stand firm in my beliefs, diving into those ancient texts provided an anchor. They tell us repeatedly not to fear, because God is with us. This isn't just about facing external challenges; it's also about having the courage to embrace God's unique plan for your life, even if it looks different from what you imagined. It makes me feel chosen, like "you are my servant, I have chosen you" – not for perfection, but for purpose. While Matthew 25 speaks about judgment and service, it reminds me of the importance of living out my purpose with love and compassion.
It's truly about cultivating a heart of gratitude. When we focus on God's incredible love and the ways He's actively working in our lives, whether through obvious blessings or through character-shaping lessons, our perspective shifts. So, let's keep sharing those "I know that was you, God" moments and celebrating His constant presence and unwavering love!
Amen 🙏🏽✝️🙏🏽
