There was a season I drifted so far I could barely recognise my own faith. I chased work. I chased approval. I chased noise. And yet, when everything fell apart, I realised He had been waiting the whole time. Not angry. Not distant. Just patient. Steady. Present. Coming back to God didn’t feel like being scolded. It felt like coming home to someone who never stopped holding space for me.
During times when I felt completely disconnected from my faith, I often wondered if God had turned away. I chased after success and validation, losing touch with what truly mattered. But one moment that stands out was when I realized God had never left me—He was simply waiting quietly, inviting me to look up. This experience taught me that spiritual journeying isn’t about perfection or punishment. Instead, it's about patience, presence, and the gentle call back to love. We may feel far away, but faith often remains steady, offering a safe space to return without fear or scolding. I also found comfort in silent moments where, like a whisper, God's reassurance felt real: "I never left; I was just waiting for you to look up." For anyone who has drifted or felt isolated in their beliefs, know that healing is possible. Recognizing this gentle waiting can inspire us to pause, release the noise, and reconnect with our inner spiritual home—a place where acceptance is unconditional and peace gradually returns.
