うちでは「ペットボトルキャップの数字パズル」を作るとき、まず安全対策から始めました。キャップは洗って乾かし、角が気になるものは使わず、数字シールははがれにくいタイプを選びます（油性ペンで直書きでもOK）。小学校低学年は誤飲が心配なので、必ず大人が近くで見守るようにしています。 【数の概念が育つ“ならべる”あそび（手作りおもちゃ）】 「数の概念 おもちゃ 手作り」を意識するなら、いきなり計算より“順序”と“量”が分かる遊びが相性◎でした。例えば、キャップを1〜9で作ったら、 ・小さい順に並べる ・偶数だけ集める／奇数だけ集める ・『5より大きいのはどれ？』と仕分けする など、書かずに理解を引き出せます。慣れたら「0」を追加して、0の意味（何もない、スタート地点）も自然に話せました。 【小学生向け：足し算だけじゃなく“ひき算”にも展開】 低クリックで多いのが「ペットボトルキャップ遊び 小学校」「ペットボトルキャップ 遊び 小学校」系なので、学年に合わせた展開例も。10のペア作りに慣れたら、今度は“10になるためにいくつ足りない？”で引き算にできます。 例：キャップが7なら「あと3で10」。声に出して答えるだけでも暗算力がつきました。 【キャップ工作：高齢者にもおすすめの脳トレに】 「ペットボトルキャップ 工作 高齢者」でも探されやすいので、祖父母と一緒にやったアレンジも書いておきます。数字を大きめに書いたキャップを使い、 ・1〜9を順番にめくる神経衰弱 ・0〜9を並べ替えるスライド（動かす回数を競わない） にすると、手先を動かしつつ“考える”時間がちょうど良く、会話も増えました。 【番外：ペットボトルの水やりキャップ（小学校の自由研究にも）】 算数遊びとは別で、「ペットボトル 水やり キャップ 小学校 水色」も気になって試しました。キャップに小さな穴を数個あけて、ペットボトルを逆さにすると簡易じょうろに。穴の数を変えると水の出方が変わるので、 ・穴は何個だとちょうどいい？ ・同じ秒数でどれくらい水が出た？ と“数える・比べる”活動につなげられて便利でした。 家にあるペットボトルキャップは、準備がラクなのに学びの幅が広いのが本当に助かります。まずは数字シールを貼って、親子で「遊び→気づいたら学び」になっている時間を楽しんでみてください。
