Summer vacation is already in the middle...
When I was in elementary school,
For some reason, I always put off my painting homework 🙄💦
✔ can't decide what to draw
✔ the same as last year.
I wonder if there are similar children?
This year, let's make a painting work that hides the learning of art and science 🎨
Not just drawing a picture,
Children should be able to work on it while having fun 😊

If you draw a line of fireworks with a candle and apply watercolor paint from above,

If you sprinkle salt before the paint dries
Because the salt attracts moisture from the paint.
It changes the color around you 🫣

夏休みの宿題に絵を描くとき、毎年なかなかアイデアが浮かばずに困ってしまうという経験はありませんか？私も小学生の頃、絵の宿題はいつも後回しで、何を描こうか迷ったことが多かったです。そんな時、図工と理科の知識を組み合わせてみると、子供自身が興味を持ちながら取り組める素敵な作品が作れます。 この花火の絵の制作では、「ろうそく」と「塩」という身近な素材の科学的な性質を活用します。ろうは水をはじく性質があるため、ろうそくの線を画用紙に描いた後で水彩絵の具を重ねると、ろうの部分には色が付きにくく、花火の光のような模様が浮かび上がります。この効果は子どもにとってまるでマジックのように感じられ、創作意欲を高めるでしょう。 さらに、塩の「水分を引き寄せる性質」を利用して、濡れた絵の具の上に振りかけると、塩の周囲で水分が吸引され、星のように輝く模様ができあがります。粗めよりも細かい塩を使うと、より美しい模様ができるのもポイントです。これによって、夜空にきらめく花火の雰囲気がリアルに再現されます。 注意点としては、ろうそくの線は絵の具がしっかり乾いた後に濃く描くこと、塩は夜空の色が乾く前に振りかけること、そして夜空を塗る際は刷毛を使うと塗りやすく仕上がりがきれいになることです。これらのポイントを守ることで失敗なく楽しめます。 自宅で簡単にできる理科実験のようなこの絵の制作は、親子で一緒に楽しむのにぴったりです。私自身も子どもと試した経験があり、花火の鮮やかな模様ができた瞬間の驚きと喜びを共有できました。理科の知識があることで、ただの絵を描くだけでなく科学の不思議を学べるため、子どもたちの学びの幅が広がります。ぜひこの夏休み、自宅学習の一環として取り入れてみてはいかがでしょうか？作品作りと同時に、理科の基礎理解も深まる素敵な時間になりますよ。
