I’m so in love with this brand #gisou their scent is exactly what I was looking for. The oil gives such a shine to my hair and I don’t even have to use a lot. I also got the #olaplex oil to compare. Can’t wait to try the shampoo and conditioner.
... Read moreOkay, so you know that feeling when you finally get your hands on something you’ve been eyeing forever? That was me walking out of Sephora with my new Gisou haul! I was so excited, especially after seeing so many positive reviews and my social feed flooded with Gisuo’s iconic packaging. Tucked inside that beautiful striped shopping bag, among all my other beauty finds, were some true gems I couldn't wait to try.
Let's talk about the star of the show for me: the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil. I’ve been using it for a bit now, and honestly, it’s everything I hoped for. Just a tiny drop – seriously, you don’t need much at all – gives my hair this incredible, healthy shine without feeling greasy or weighed down. The scent is absolutely divine; it's a sweet, floral honey fragrance that lingers beautifully without being overpowering. I love using it as a finishing touch after styling, but it’s also fantastic as a pre-treatment before washing or even a little overnight boost for extra hydration. The honey-infused formula really seems to nourish my strands, leaving them softer and more manageable.
Beyond the oil, I also managed to snag the Gisou Honey Infused Hair Wash and the Honey Infused Conditioner. My hair is definitely thanking me already! The hair wash lathers beautifully and feels incredibly gentle, but still leaves my scalp feeling clean and refreshed. Paired with the rich, creamy conditioner, my hair feels unbelievably silky and hydrated. I’m really looking forward to seeing the long-term benefits of using the full honey-infused routine. It’s early days, but my hair already feels more luscious and less prone to frizz, which is a big win in my book.
Now, for something I know many of you are curious about: the Gisou vs. Olaplex hair oil comparison. I specifically picked up the Olaplex Bonding Oil to see how it stacks up. While both are fantastic products, they serve slightly different purposes in my routine. The Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil, for me, is all about enhancing shine, adding fragrance, and providing that beautiful, soft finish. It's more of a styling and nourishing oil. The Olaplex Bonding Oil, on the other hand, is renowned for its reparative qualities. It's designed to strengthen and rebuild damaged hair bonds, making it more of a treatment oil for hair health. I find myself reaching for the Olaplex when my hair needs some serious TLC and repair, perhaps after heat styling or coloring, and the Gisou when I want that luxurious shine and incredible scent for a finished look. Sometimes, I even use a bit of both – Olaplex first as a treatment, then a tiny bit of Gisou for that added gloss and fragrance. It’s all about what your hair needs at that moment!
Overall, this Sephora haul was a definite success. If you're looking to add a touch of luxury and real nourishment to your hair care, especially for shine and an amazing scent, Gisou's honey-infused line is absolutely worth exploring. And if you're torn between Gisou and Olaplex, remember they can actually complement each other perfectly depending on your hair goals. Happy hair days!
