Freshly made Hum Jin Pang

I eat this since young and we used to able to fried it ourselves, dipped the sugar coating and then pack it up all by ourselves.

Today you can fried it anymore but still able to dip the sugar coating yourself.

The puff is so nice and freshness is all you taste. There is no "dirty oil" smell or taste too!

Is only $1.00 for 5pcs!

If you are at Maxwell Hawker Center, do try this store!

... Read moreHum Jin Pang has been a nostalgic snack for many, including myself, since childhood. Though we used to fry them on our own, these days the puffs come freshly fried but still allow customers to enjoy dipping them into the sugar coating themselves, preserving that interactive experience. What I particularly appreciate about this version from China Street (#01-28) is the remarkable freshness and absence of any unpleasant 'dirty oil' smell — a common downside in street food snacks. The puffs are light, crispy, and the sugar coating adds just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the flavor. At Maxwell Hawker Center, this stall offers incredible value with 5 pieces for only $1.00, making it an affordable treat for locals and tourists alike. If you are exploring Singapore’s hawker culture, this humble yet delightful snack exemplifies how simple ingredients and traditional preparation can offer memorable flavors. For those who enjoy snacks with a bit of hands-on fun, dipping the puffs into sugar makes the eating experience interactive and enjoyable, especially for kids and families. If you have a sweet tooth and appreciate authentic local treats, definitely add this freshly made Hum Jin Pang to your food itinerary when at Maxwell Hawker Center. The combination of crispy texture, fresh preparation, and affordable price makes it a standout among street snacks.
