... Read moreOkay, so I'm absolutely buzzing about the new League of Legends TCG, Riftbound Origins! The initial release is just getting started, and I'm already dreaming about which champions I'm going to pull. I managed to snag a few of those sealed booster displays, and let me tell you, just seeing Ahri, Yasuo, and Jinx on the boxes gets me hyped. The retail displays also showed some champion decks for Viktor and Lee Sin, which is awesome – gives you a great starting point. But honestly, what I'm really hoping for are some of my absolute favorite champions, especially Yuumi! You know, the magical cat familiar. I've seen some chatter online, and everyone's curious about how Yuumi will play in Riftbound. Will she be a support card, attaching to other champions and boosting their stats, just like in League of Legends? Or maybe she'll have unique healing or shielding abilities? I can just imagine a Yuumi card that lets you draw extra cards or protects your key units. Finding a 'Yuumi Riftbound' card would be a game-changer for my collection, and I'm already thinking about potential deck synergies. A lot of us are keeping our fingers crossed she's part of the Origins set, or at least coming very soon. It’s definitely a card I'll be actively hunting for in those booster packs! And speaking of key cards, let's talk about Protobelt. For those who play LoL, you know Protobelt as a burst item, often used by mages and divers for extra mobility and damage. So, how would 'Protobelt' translate into a TCG card? My guess is it could be an item card or an ability card that grants a champion a temporary boost, like a sudden attack increase or the ability to move to another lane. Imagine using a Protobelt card to finish off an opponent's key champion or to set up a surprise attack. It could be super versatile and a staple in aggressive decks! I'm picturing it as an 'equip' card that gives +X power and maybe a 'dash' effect. It would be such a strong addition to any deck focused on burst damage. The fact that these boxes are 'Made in Japan' also gives me confidence in the production quality, which is always a plus for TCGs. I'm just so excited to dive into the lore and mechanics of Riftbound. I’ve heard we can expect more champions like Viktor and Lee Sin to have dedicated champion decks, which is fantastic for new players. The anticipation of opening up those boosters, hoping for a rare Ahri or Yasuo, or even better, finding that elusive Yuumi or a game-changing Protobelt card, is what makes TCGs so thrilling. This release is a huge moment for League of Legends fans and TCG enthusiasts alike. Can't wait to share my pulls and hear what everyone else finds!
