Plus, it’s a super fun and rewarding craft project that lets you connect even more with the FNaF universe! What You’ll Need: Your chosen tumbler (like a Simple Modern one with a cool base design!) Vinyl decals (pre-made or cut with a crafting machine like a Cricut/Silhouette) Acrylic paints designed for tumblers (if you prefer painting details) Sealant (epoxy resin for a glossy, durable finish, or a water-based polycrylic like Mod Podge Dishwasher Safe for an easier option) Rubbing alcohol (for cleaning the surface) Applicator tools (a scraper for vinyl, paintbrushes for paint) Patience and a creative spirit! My Step-by-Step Customization Journey: Clean Your Tumbler: This is absolutely crucial! Wipe down your Simple Modern tumbler thoroughly with rubbing alcohol. This removes any oils, fingerprints, or residue that could prevent your design from sticking properly. Design Time: I spent some time finding amazing FNaF character designs and spooky game elements online. I either bought vinyl decals or cut them myself. Think about placement – do you want Freddy Fazbear dominating one side, or a collage of all the animatronics peeking out? The checkered base of my Simple Modern tumbler added an extra layer of cool to my design! Apply Your Design: If using vinyl, carefully peel and apply each piece. Use a scraper or even a credit card to smooth out any air bubbles. If you're painting, sketch your design first with a pencil and then carefully paint. Remember, thin layers of paint are better than one thick, clumpy one. Seal It Up: This is the most important step for durability and protecting your awesome FNaF art. I opted for a two-part epoxy resin, which gives a super shiny, professional, and protective finish. Follow the instructions carefully for mixing and applying. If you're using a polycrylic sealant, apply several thin coats, allowing each to dry completely before adding the next. Make sure to let it cure completely! Tips for a Long-Lasting FNaF Tumbler: Take your time: Don't rush any step, especially the cleaning and sealing. Prep is key! Thin coats: If painting or using polycrylic, multiple thin coats are always better than one thick one for a smooth, even finish. Curing time: Allow your sealant to fully cure. This can take anywhere from 24 hours to several days, depending on the product, but it's worth it for a durable finish. Hand wash only: Even with the best sealant, hand washing will significantly extend the life of your custom FNaF design.
