Human Tenna
havnt posted here in a while so here’s my human tenna !!
I've always been fascinated by the idea of imagining video game characters in a human form, and Tenna from Deltarune Chapter 3 was just begging for a human reimagining! When I started sketching, I really wanted to capture his essence while giving him a unique human twist. You know how iconic characters like Spamton have such distinct looks in Deltarune? I aimed for that same memorable impact with Tenna, translating his unique presence into a human design. For my human Tenna concept, I pictured him as this charismatic, perhaps slightly eccentric, TV personality. I drew inspiration from classic broadcasters from the 80s and 90s, the kind who had a distinct flair. There's definitely a bit of that 'Mr. Crocket' vibe in there, which felt so fitting for his puppet-master persona and overall slightly retro aesthetic. Thinking about the details, I imagined him as a distinguished, dark-skinned man with a sharp mustache – it just adds to that authoritative yet playful feel, suggesting someone who commands attention. The red jacket and yellow tie weren't random choices either; these vibrant colors pop, bringing to mind the bright, almost whimsical, yet sometimes unsettling feel of the Dark World, especially with its pink and yellow dotted backgrounds. I even considered how he might interact with his beloved puppets; perhaps he’d still keep a yellow bird puppet or a large blue furry puppet by his side, even in human form, as subtle nods to his origins and role. The idea of 'Human Tenna TV' was a constant loop in my head during the whole creative process! Creating fanart like this is such a rewarding experience! It's not just about drawing; it's about delving deep into a character's personality, lore, and even fan theories, then translating it all into a new visual language. For anyone else out there who loves creating humanized versions of characters, my biggest tip is to really think about their core traits and what makes them unique. Is the character playful? Mysterious? Bossy? How would those traits manifest in their human appearance, their choice of clothing, or even their signature facial expressions? Don't be afraid to experiment with different styles and influences. Sometimes, combining unexpected elements, like a classic suit with a vibrant, almost cartoonish background, can lead to the most interesting results. I find it helps to look at a wide range of inspirations, from other fanart and official character designs to real-world fashion, historical figures, and even personal experiences. It's truly a creative journey, and I'm always thrilled to see how others interpret their favorite characters from games like Deltarune. Sharing these personal interpretations really builds our community and lets us explore the game's world in new ways while we eagerly await Chapter 3!
