Butter or Cooking Oil ( i use both )
Directions :
Prep the Salmon :
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel to ensure a good sear.
Season both sides with salt, pepper, and any desired spices.
Heat the Pan:
Heat 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil or butter in a nonstick or stainless steel skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Cook the Skin-Side Down:
Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the hot pan.
Press gently with a spatula to prevent curling.
Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and the salmon is mostly cooked through.
Flip the Salmon:
Carefully flip the fillets and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked to your preferred doneness
(125°F for medium-rare or 140°F for well-done).
