POV: You got a 12-hour drive from Texas to California and back… so you need a GOOD audiobook.

So boom.

This weekend I’m driving from Texas to California and back, and I knew I needed something that was gonna keep me entertained on that road.

Everybody kept bragging about Capri by Jahquel J..

Now hold on…

I already read this book last year on Kindle.

So I’m thinking I already know the story.

But baby…

THE AUDIOBOOK??

Sweet baby Jesus.

I’m over here smiling while driving like a fool.

The voice actors did their thing because the way they brought Capri and Quameer to life just felt different. Like you sitting right there with them.

And the way Quameer loves on Capri?

Listen…

That man talks to Capri like she the only woman walking this earth. The way he protects her, reassures her, and stays solid no matter what.

Yeah… that man set the bar HIGH.

There are moments where you can just hear in his voice that Capri is his peace, his person, his everything.

And baby… that will have you smiling like he talking to you.

Now I’m a Chicago girl through and through, but hearing that kind of love in this story?

Yeah…

My heart skipped a beat a few times.

Next thing I know I’m miles down the road like, dang… I forgot I was even driving.

If you got a long drive, a cleaning day, or you just need something that will pull you into the story…

This audiobook might be the move.

Now tell me…

What audiobook had you so hooked you forgot what you were doing?

... Read moreListening to audiobooks on long trips can completely transform the driving experience. I recently went on a 12-hour drive and chose Capri by Jahquel J., performed by Lawrence Baldwin and Wesleigh Siobhan, and it was one of the best decisions I've made. Unlike reading the book on Kindle, the audiobook adds a new layer of emotion through brilliant voice acting that really brings Capri and Quameer to life. The narrator’s delivery captures the intimacy and depth of Quameer’s devotion, making his love and protection feel so personal that it keeps you smiling and engaged throughout your journey. This audiobook not only entertains but also creates a connection with the characters that transcends the pages. It’s perfect for long drives, cleaning days, or any time you need to immerse yourself in a story without staring at a screen or a book. From my experience, a good audiobook can keep you alert and entertained, reducing the monotony of a long drive. Albums like Capri, with strong character voices and emotional storytelling, help you forget about the miles passing by because you’re so hooked on the narrative. Also, it’s worth noting that this audiobook has great ratings on Goodreads, which reassures you that many listeners found it enjoyable and well-produced. If you’ve struggled to find audiobooks that maintain your attention or capture your emotions, Capri is a standout example of the power of voice performance in storytelling. For anyone planning a journey or looking for recommendations that bring warmth and connection to their listening experience, this book is a heartfelt recommendation. What audiobooks have captured your attention so much that time flew by? Sharing those gems can help others find their next perfect listen.
