I’ve been wanting to start YouTube, but I keep overthinking it because my life isn’t super exciting.
I’m 19, 21 weeks pregnant, and most of my days are just me trying to get my life together. Think “getting out of my bed rot era,” learning new hobbies, preparing for motherhood, making my home feel cozy, figuring out adulthood, and trying to become someone I’m proud of.
No luxury apartment. No expensive shopping hauls. No perfectly aesthetic morning routine.
Just an average girl documenting an average life and hopefully making it feel a little less lonely for someone else.
So I need your advice…
🤍 Would you actually watch videos like that?
And if you would, what kinds of videos would keep you coming back?
• Cozy home vlogs?
• Pregnancy diaries?
• Reset days?
• Trying new hobbies?
• “Getting my life together” challenges?
• Quiet, realistic day-in-the-life videos?
I’d genuinely love to hear your ideas because I want to build a channel that feels like we’re figuring life out together.

From my experience watching similar creators, viewers appreciate content that feels genuine and relatable, especially when it highlights everyday challenges and small victories.
Creating cozy home vlogs or reset day videos brings a comforting vibe that many people seek, particularly during times of change or uncertainty. Personal stories about learning new hobbies and preparing a home for a baby resonate because they show progress and growth without pretension. Pregnancy diaries combined with honest reflections about fears, hopes, and milestones can foster a strong connection with an audience who may feel alone in their own journeys.
Embracing the “average girl” narrative is powerful because many want to see content that reflects their own lives rather than idealized or overly polished portrayals. Quiet, realistic day-in-the-life videos allow viewers to feel like they’re sharing moments with a friend rather than just watching entertainment.
Interacting with your audience by asking what kind of content they’d like to see is a great way to build a supportive community. Challenges focused on “getting life together” can motivate both you and your viewers to strive for growth, one step at a time.
In summary, if you pursue a channel that documents your genuine experiences—whether it’s the struggles of pregnancy, tackling adulthood responsibilities, or exploring new hobbies—you’ll attract viewers looking for authentic stories. Such content stands out by making life’s ordinary moments feel meaningful and less lonely for those navigating similar paths.
I would absolutely love the vlog type videos. The genuine stuff. I feel like it just makes things more interesting and more personal when it’s not a fake act. I find myself enjoying watching other people do their daily things. The home vlogs and pregnancy diaries would be sooo cute! I can’t speak for everyone but I would definitely continue watching your videos no matter what! You’ve got my support!💙
Sure would!! I like pages of people that throw in a mix of everything❤️
