Let’s Chat: Home, Laughter, & Best Friends

Hey friends! I’m Alexa, a small-town girl from Georgia. After 2 1/2 unforgettable years at Anderson University in SC, I’m back home and starting fresh at the University of North Georgia. It’s been an exciting journey, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

One thing I’ve learned is that home isn’t just about where you are—it’s about the people who make it special. From my amazing friends at Anderson to the new connections I’ve made here, every laugh, late-night talk, and memory means so much to me.

I’m also the extroverted friend who’s always behind the camera, capturing those candid, unscripted moments that reflect everyone’s most genuine selves. Whether it’s a silly dance, a goofy face, or a burst of laughter, I’m there to make sure those memories are preserved!

Here’s a little snapshot of me:

• Hometown roots: North Georgia

• College life: Anderson University for 2 1/2 years, now continuing my journey at UNG!

• Friendship goals: Always grateful for the people who light up my life.

• Memory keeper: Love snapping photos of fun, candid moments to look back on and laugh about later.

What about you? What makes your friendships and memories special? Let’s chat below—I’d love to hear your story!

Strong social ties can significantly enhance our well-being and happiness. As you build your network in college or throughout life, remember to focus on qualities like trust, empathy, and mutual respect. Embrace opportunities to create lasting memories, and don't shy away from new adventures, be it through travel or shared hobbies. Capturing those candid moments through photography, like silly dances or emotional gatherings, can preserve those joyful times for years to come. Furthermore, communication is key in nurturing relationships; keep the dialogue open and heartfelt with your friends. If you're starting fresh in a new environment, like moving to college, actively engage in conversations, attend events, and create opportunities for shared experiences. Whether it's a group study session or a casual dinner, every moment counts. So, gather your friends, reminisce about shared experiences, and create new ones. Encourage others to share their stories, as this can deepen your connections and enhance your understanding of each other's backgrounds and journeys.
