✨may 2026 nails✨
I forgot to take a picture of April but they were just the gel x, pink and chrome lol
Gel x ended up being a little too long just with how work was going so I went back to my natural nails, builder gel and am trying square again! Blue cause it’s my boyfriend’s birthday this month lol, hate the squiggles on my left hand but they are not too bad!

As someone who has experimented extensively with different nail enhancements, I wanted to share some insights on managing gel nails, especially gel X and builder gel types, based on my recent experience. Gel X nails are fantastic for adding instant length and a flawless finish, but they can sometimes feel a bit too long or high-maintenance for daily work life. Through trial and error, I've found that balancing length with practicality is key; too long and they may snag or hinder routine tasks. Builder gel nails are an excellent alternative when you want to maintain a more natural length while reinforcing your nails. Using builder gel has allowed me to grow out my natural nails while giving them strength and a smooth shape. I’m currently trying square-shaped nails again, which suits my personal style and complements the blue polish I chose for my boyfriend’s birthday month. The squiggle designs on some nails add a playful touch—even if I’m a bit critical of them, they’ve grown on me and show how creativity can brighten a simple manicure. If you're considering at-home nail care or switching between nail enhancement types, here are a few tips: 1. Keep your nails hydrated with cuticle oils to reduce breakage. 2. Protect your nails by not cutting cuticles; instead, gently push them back. 3. When removing gel nails, avoid peeling or scraping to protect your natural nails underneath. 4. Use a fiber or builder gel for strength, especially if you have weak or brittle nails. 5. Play with colors and patterns to keep your nails expressive—birthdays or special occasions make great inspiration. Documenting your nail journey, like a nail journal, can also help track what works best for you while inspiring others. Overall, enjoy experimenting and don’t be afraid to switch up styles to match your mood or lifestyle.
