Eating the way humans should

I have tried many MANY different “diets” that have either failed, worked (temporarily), or been BEYOND unhealthy. Eating a (mostly) whole food diet has really changed my life!

I have not completely changed my diet to a Whole Foods diet but I have found that the days I eat more whole food based meals are the days I feel the best. This has helped me to get all/most of my daily nutrients through the foods they come in naturally. It makes me think *hunter and gatherer times*. I am just giving my self a chance to eat the way humans are supposed to eat. It helps me eat more intuitively. It also helps me get creative with my meals. I’m VERY over pre-packaged processed food (for the most part).

Whole food: when you look at the ingredient list for that food item the only ingredient is the food itself

Ex:

-Egg

Ingredient: egg

this picture is of one very SIMPLE whole food breakfast. I’ll add more pictures soon of more creative meals that are completely or mainly whole foods based. Or even other meals that just make me feel GOOD!

Food is FUEL and MEDICINE for our bodies. I’m trying to think of each meal as something my body needs and is using rather than something my mind wants. I find fun ways to make it tasty and satiating!

... Read moreWhole food diets emphasize consuming natural foods with minimal processing. This approach can lead to increased nutrient intake, improved digestion, and better overall health. Foods that are considered whole include fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and whole grains, which provide essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. By focusing on these foods, individuals often report better energy levels and a more satisfying eating experience. Additionally, adopting a whole food lifestyle encourages the practice of mindful eating. By tuning into your body's signals of hunger and fullness, you can develop a healthier relationship with food. Many find that this not only aids in weight management but also enhances mental clarity and emotional well-being. As you explore creating meals from whole foods, consider incorporating a variety of colors and textures to make your dishes visually appealing and enjoyable. Familiarizing yourself with new recipes and experimenting with different combinations can further ignite your passion for cooking and eating healthy.

I’m late but that’s this app for ya. A diet is simply what you’re eating lol like that’s the definition of diet. This is a diet (what you eat) diet does not mean weight loss plan.
