As a busy mom these are a few tricks I have learned to keep my home tidy without spending all of my time in doing so.
*Get into a "See it, Do it, Done" mindset. Its simple, you see a mess or something out of place as you are walking by, just pick it up and its done. Dont just walk past it saying you'll get to it later, get to it now! It was really a game changer for my cleaning routine.
*One load of laundry every day. The laundry wont pile up this way not will you have loads upon loads to fold. Just to one load, start to finish. Wash, Dry and Put Away. You'll stay caught up without a laundry day or the mountains of clothes.
*Clean every mess as it comes. Dont focus on one room or you can overwhelm yourself. Just pick one mess at at a time such as Vacuuming, Clearing the Table, Picking up Shoes, Putting the pillows back on the couch 😂
*Clean the kitchen every night, no exceptions! This will set you up for your next day and you will feel soooo mich better waking up to a clean kitchen. Even if its late, it truly dowsnt take that long if you are motivated to get it done.

I’ve found that creating a mindset around the phrase "See it, Do it, Done" really changed how I approach small messes. Instead of saying, "I'll get to this later," I tackle clutter or cleaning tasks at that moment which prevents them from piling up.
One of the biggest game changers for me has been doing just one load of laundry each day. This small, consistent effort keeps laundry from becoming a daunting mountain of work. By washing, drying, and putting away clothes daily, you stay on top without dedicating an entire day to laundry. It also helps avoid that stressful last-minute rush when you realize you have nothing clean left to wear!
Another helpful tip is to clean every mess as it occurs instead of saving one type of chore for a whole session. For example, rather than vacuuming every room at once which can be draining, focus on small, manageable areas or tasks throughout your day. Picking up scattered shoes or straightening pillows as you go may seem minor but adds up quickly.
Lastly, cleaning the kitchen every night has been a routine I swear by. Waking up to a clean and refreshed kitchen truly sets a positive tone for the day. Even if it’s late, spending a few minutes tidying countertops, washing dishes, or organizing the space prevents buildup and reduces morning stress.
Incorporating these modest but consistent actions can help any busy mom maintain a clean home without overwhelming herself. These small habits create a ripple effect, making everyday cleaning manageable and even enjoyable rather than stressful. If you’re juggling mom life and home chores like me, starting with these simple steps can transform your cleaning routine and give you more time to enjoy with your family.
I have to clean my whole entire house though and that’s what’s truly overwhelming me. I have a one year old who is very very active, I stay home but I’m in college full-time, and I am married. He doesn’t help me clean, tbh he makes much more harder on me. He will leave trash everywhere and dishes and just won’t pick up at all. I do appreciate you posting this, I’m just going to pray, calm my mind and somehow get it all cleaned up. 🙏🏾
