SAHM♡Setting My Day

This is how I set everyday as a SAHM

I make my coffee first thing and set out my planner. I make a list of all the more pressing chores that really need done. If I write them down, I feel more obligated to do it. I make sure I have the days events in order and plan around accordingly. After that I just power clean until 10am then start prepping lunch and dinner. I do this early to save myself the big rush later. I work on the little things the rest of the day and do a load of laundry. I only do one load a day to keep it more manageable. One load a day keeps the laundry piles away!

Hope this helps!!

One approach that has worked wonders for me is starting the morning grounded with a simple but energizing routine. First, I make a cup of coffee to savor while setting my planner for the day—writing down the most pressing chores helps me stay motivated and accountable throughout the day. What really boosts my efficiency is the idea of "power cleaning" — dedicating a focused block of time, usually before 10 a.m., to tackle as many tasks as possible. This burst of productivity not only clears the clutter but also frees up my afternoon for other important activities. Meal prep is another key element I swear by. By prepping lunch and dinner early, I avoid the last-minute rush that can throw off the entire day's flow. This step gives me peace of mind and ensures my family eats well without stress. Laundry management is often overwhelming, so I recommend doing just one load per day to keep it manageable and prevent piles from accumulating. This small habit consistently keeps laundry under control without feeling like an all-day chore. In my experience, combining these strategies creates a balanced schedule that respects both household responsibilities and personal time. Plus, planning around your day’s events helps you stay flexible. To fellow SAHMs looking to organize their day, consider these simple but effective steps—you might find yourself less overwhelmed and more fulfilled by the end of the day.
