Pregnancy Symptoms I experienced

Every pregnancy is different, but I wanted to share the symptoms I personally experienced—just in case you’re curious about what it might feel like or looking for someone to relate to!

🤰Fatigue that hit HARD

The first trimester wiped me out—I felt like I could nap all day.

🤰Going to Bed Early

I turned into a grandma real quick—lights out by 8:30 most nights.

🤰Morning Sickness

Morning sickness wasn’t just mornings for me— I threw up almost every night from week 6 to 14 🫠

🤰Sleeping Pain

Sleeping was probably the hardest part of pregnancy for me. My shoulders, hips, and back were constantly aching. Get a good pregnancy pillow sooner rather than later!! Or even try sleeping in a recliner! These were lifesavers for me!

🤰Frequent Bathroom Trips

Let’s just say water in = water out, constantly.

🤰Skin, Hair, and Nail Health

The glow is real, and you will get all the compliments! A little bonus of the second trimester.. because we deserve it 😉

Remember: everyone’s pregnancy looks different, so if your journey doesn’t match mine, that’s totally normal!

Which of these did you have—or did you get any totally unexpected symptoms?

... Read morePregnancy brings a wide range of symptoms, and understanding them can help expecting mothers cope better. Fatigue in the first trimester is extremely common due to hormonal changes and increased energy demands on the body. Many women find they need more rest and develop earlier bedtimes, as their body prioritizes growing life. Morning sickness, despite its name, can persist throughout the day and often peaks between weeks 6 and 14. It may cause nausea and vomiting multiple times a day, which can be exhausting. To alleviate symptoms, it's helpful to eat smaller, frequent meals and stay hydrated. Sleeping pain affecting shoulders, hips, and back is frequently reported as the body adapts to new weight and hormonal changes loosening joints and ligaments. Investing in a pregnancy pillow early can improve comfort and quality of sleep. Some find sleeping in recliners helps relieve pressure on aching areas. Frequent bathroom trips result from the growing uterus pressing on the bladder and increased kidney function. While inconvenient, it signals your body's adaptations to pregnancy demands. Interestingly, many pregnant women experience improved skin, hair, and nail health, often called the 'pregnancy glow.' This is related to increased blood circulation and hormone levels in the second trimester and can provide a confidence boost during pregnancy. Remember, every pregnancy is unique—symptoms vary widely between individuals. If your experience differs, that’s perfectly normal. Connecting with other mothers and sharing experiences can provide support and reassurance during this transformative journey.
