But breaking down the process into manageable steps can transform cleaning from a chore into a rewarding experience. A key tip is to first consider the benefits of cleaning—ask yourself, "What will I get out of cleaning my room?" Focusing on positive outcomes, such as a tidy space and a clear mind, helps create a purpose behind the effort. Setting up a reward system is another powerful motivator. Treat yourself to something enjoyable after completing your cleaning session, whether it's a favorite snack, a relaxing activity, or a fun outing. This method reinforces the habit by associating cleaning with positive emotions. Avoid overthinking before you start cleaning. Instead, put on some energetic music, stand up, and prepare your space without dwelling on excuses or lack of desire. This helps overcome procrastination and builds momentum. Discipline plays an important role if you find yourself getting sidetracked. If you stop working, try a brief physical activity to regain focus instead of losing motivation altogether. Cleaning quickly can reduce boredom and make the task feel less overwhelming. As you progress, cleaning will become easier and more habitual, helping you resist the urge to quit prematurely. It's also important to recognize that for some individuals, such as those facing ADHD or depression, cleaning can be particularly challenging. In these cases, reducing breaks is advised because they can diminish motivation. Instead, maintaining a steady pace and celebrating small accomplishments can be crucial. By following these steps—thinking about benefits, preparing rewards, avoiding overthinking, acting with discipline, and cleaning swiftly—you can develop a sustainable cleaning routine that not only organizes your room but also boosts your overall well-being and productivity.

Clothing hack. When you wash and dry clothes leave your clean clothes on your bed and don’t let yourself sit or lay down in your bed until everything is put away. I’ve had days where I don’t want to but following this has worked great for me.
