Dove x Crumbl Deodorant Gave Me Chemical Burns🚨
✨ HONEST REVIEW ✨ Dove x Crumbl Collab—Confetti Cake Deodorant 🍪🎂
When this collab dropped, I was SO excited!! Everyone was saying “who wants to smell like a Crumbl cookie?” but let’s be real… we’ve all been loving scents like vanilla bean, strawberry pound cake, and lemon bars for years. But suddenly, when it’s a cookie collab, people act brand new? 🤔 LOL.
I smelled all the scents, and Confetti Cake was THE one. Since I’m a layering girlie, I went all in—body wash, body scrub, and deodorant. Because if you want your scent to last and get those “OMG you smell so good” compliments, layering is KEY. 💖
At first, I loved this deodorant—gel formula (so no annoying white marks on clothes), smelled like a delicious birthday cake cookie, and claimed to last 72 hours. For the first week? Perfection. But then… the nightmare began. 👀
My armpits started feeling sensitive—like, weirdly sore. I ignored it. Then one day, I applied it and felt a PAINFUL burning sensation. I checked and… bright red, irritated skin. I had to wash it off, but the burn lingered. Y’all… this deodorant gave me straight-up CHEMICAL BURNS. 😭
I thought maybe it was just me being dramatic, so I tried again weeks later… SAME THING. And I’ve never had issues with deodorant before. So if you have sensitive skin, beware!! 🚨
💔 Final Thoughts: Love the body wash & scrub (they’re my FAVS), but the deodorant? Absolutely not. So sad because I wanted to love it!! 🥲
Have you tried this collab? Did it work for you or was it a flop? 👀 Let me know in the comments!! ⬇️

It's truly disappointing when a product you're hyped about, especially a limited-edition scent like the Dove x Crumbl Confetti Cake 72h deodorant, ends up causing such a painful reaction. My experience with those chemical burns was a wake-up call, and it made me dig deeper into why deodorants can sometimes go so wrong for our skin. First off, if you've ever felt that dreaded burning or itching after applying a new deodorant, you're not alone. Our underarm skin is surprisingly delicate and sensitive. Common culprits in deodorants that can cause irritation include fragrances (which the Confetti Cake scent definitely has!), alcohol, baking soda, and even certain aluminum compounds. For me, that Dove x Crumbl deodorant felt like it had a combination of irritants that my skin just couldn't handle, leading to that stinging, red aftermath. It made me realize how crucial it is to consider ingredients, especially when trying a new or highly fragranced product. So, what do you do if you find yourself in a similar situation, perhaps with a crumbl cookie deodorant or any other product causing discomfort? The first step is always to stop using it immediately. Gently wash the area with mild soap and cool water. Applying a cool compress can help soothe the burning sensation. For mild reactions, aloe vera or a hydrocortisone cream (check with a pharmacist or doctor first!) can offer relief. However, if the pain is severe, blistering occurs, or the irritation doesn't improve, please consult a doctor. When my armpits were bright red and burning after using that 72h deodorant, I wish I had known more about immediate soothing steps beyond just washing it off. For those of us with sensitive skin, navigating the deodorant aisle can be a minefield. After my -4/10 rating experience with the Dove x Crumbl deodorant, I'm now a huge advocate for patch testing any new product, especially limited edition or heavily scented ones. Apply a small amount to a discreet area, like your inner arm, for a day or two to see if a reaction occurs before committing to full underarm application. Look for deodorants specifically labeled "fragrance-free," "hypoallergenic," or "for sensitive skin." Sometimes, opting for natural alternatives or even plain antiperspirants designed for clinical strength can be a better choice. While I loved the scent idea, my painful deodorant chemical burn taught me that skin health comes first. It's a shame because the body wash and scrub from the same line were lovely, but the crumbl cookie deodorant itself was definitely a flop for my sensitive skin.

the deodorant burns like hell I'm crying right now never again
