MARSHALLS HAUL!!!
Here are a few of my favorite Marshall’s finds recently. Not only are these pieces cute, they’re extremely useful and functional. I LOVE my little espresso cups, coffee pod canister, and gold/brass tray. As a renter with a small apartment it’s so hard to make it your own. But I feel like these small touches are a start!
Espresso Cups
Brand: Harvest Green Studio (don’t quote me)
Context & thoughts: I think they look so elegant and eclectic and fit perfectly into my home
Product Info: 2oz espresso mug with blue intricate painting
Coffee Canister
Brand: 🤷🏼♀️
Context & thoughts: I think it fits perfectly on my coffee bar and serves its purpose well! Nespresso pods come in packs of 8-10 depending on the type of coffee, so I have 2 boxes of blonde espresso (20 pods) and 1 box of caramel coffee (8 pods) all in this canister.
Product Info: large coffee canister that holds ~28 Nespresso pods at once
Gold Tray
Brand: American Atillier
Context & thoughts: I think it elevates the stovetop space. I don’t have much counter space in my kitchen, so storing my utensils etc. on the counter just makes the space looked cramped. This way, I can style my space and still have that open feel I need!
Product Info: Large brass/gold tray with handles and intricate detailing that can sustain at least 4lbs of weight.
I totally get the thrill of a Marshall's haul! There's nothing quite like sifting through the aisles and unearthing those perfect house things that make your space feel truly yours, especially when you're working with a smaller footprint like I am. It’s like a treasure hunt every time! I love sending my mom little updates on my little hauls because it feels so rewarding to furnish my place with such thoughtful, affordable pieces. One of my absolute favorite strategies for finding those hidden gems – whether it's a fantastic deal or something I spotted during a Marshall's clearance sale – is to visit frequently and at different times. Stock changes so quickly, so if you don't find what you're looking for one day, it might be there the next! I’ve learned that the key isn't just about price; it's about quality and how well an item fits into your personal aesthetic. Often, you can find designer-inspired pieces for a fraction of the cost. When I'm looking for home finds, I try to think about versatility. Can this piece serve multiple purposes? Will it add character without cluttering? For instance, like my espresso cups and coffee canister, Marshall's is fantastic for upgrading your coffee bar. Beyond the specific items I found, I've seen beautiful mugs, unique sugar and creamer sets, and even stylish serving trays that can instantly elevate your morning routine. Look for those unique patterns or textures that mimic more expensive brands. Another area where Marshall's shines for small apartment living is storage and organization with a flair. Instead of generic plastic bins, I always scout for cute baskets, decorative boxes, or even chic brass trays, similar to my gold one, that can double as decor. These aren't just for organization; they become part of your styling. Imagine a woven basket for throws or a pretty ceramic jar for kitchen utensils. These are the kinds of house things that designers often recommend for adding functionality and style, especially in compact living areas. Don't forget to explore their kitchen section for unique glassware, dishware, and even small appliances. I've scored some amazing finds there that look far more expensive than they were. The trick is to have an open mind and a clear idea of what your space needs but also what would *spark joy*. Finally, always check the home decor aisles for art, throw pillows, and decorative accents. You can find pieces that echo current trends or timeless classics. Just remember, the best finds often require a bit of patience and a keen eye. Happy hunting!
