Recent Favorites in Arizona!

Okay, so I've been getting a ton of questions about my favorite outdoor spots, and I absolutely have to tell you all about the Double Butte Loop in Papago Park! If you're looking for an easy-to-moderate hike with seriously stunning views, this is it. I recently went during sunset, and honestly, the sky turned into this incredible painting of pinks and oranges reflecting off Tempe Town Lake in the distance. It’s perfect for a quick escape into nature without leaving the city too far behind. The trail itself is well-maintained, about 2.2 miles, and offers panoramic vistas of the surrounding desert landscape, including the iconic Hole-in-the-Rock formation. You can even spot downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale from certain points. It’s a fantastic spot for a morning jog, a leisurely afternoon walk, or even bringing your furry friend along (just remember to keep them on a leash and bring plenty of water!). Papago Park, with its distinctive red rock formations, truly feels like an oasis in the desert. After a refreshing hike, I love to unwind and rejuvenate, and Tempe and Phoenix have some fantastic spots to do just that. If you're into wellness, I highly recommend checking out Arizona Yoga Co. for a rejuvenating class. They have such a welcoming vibe, and it’s the perfect way to stretch out those post-hike muscles and find some inner peace amidst the desert hustle. Or, if Pilates is more your speed, I stumbled upon a fantastic studio called WORKSHOP Pilates which is super modern and effective. Their reformer classes are a great way to strengthen your core and improve flexibility – a perfect complement to any hiking routine. For coffee lovers (like me!), I've got a couple of favorites near Papago Park that are absolute must-visits. Daydreamer Coffee is always a great choice for a strong brew and a chill atmosphere. It’s perfect for grabbing a cold brew on the go before hitting the trails or settling in with a laptop for a bit of work. And if you're exploring downtown Phoenix, you absolutely have to visit Coronado Cafe. Their interior is so charming with that floral wallpaper, and their breakfast burritos are to die for! It’s such a unique spot with a real local feel. Another spot I adore for a relaxed coffee or tea break is Songbird Coffee and Tea House. It’s got such a cozy outdoor patio, ideal for people-watching or just enjoying the Arizona sunshine with a good book. I even heard about a place called Harlem with some cool art, though I haven't made it there myself yet. Exploring these spots has really made me appreciate the vibrant culture and natural beauty Arizona has to offer.
