Showing off our manga art of our oc
Creating original manga characters is an exciting journey that allows artists to express their creativity and storytelling skills. When I started designing my own OC (original character), I focused on crafting a distinct personality and visual style that would resonate with viewers. Using a sketchbook to draft early ideas helps capture spontaneous details and explore different poses and expressions. One important aspect of manga art is mastering the line work, which defines the character’s features and movements. I find that practicing various pen pressures and strokes adds depth and dynamic to the drawings. Adding fine details, such as hair strands and clothing folds, greatly enhances the realism and appeal. In addition, sharing your work with communities like #mangaart and #mangadrawing can provide valuable feedback and motivation. Engaging with other artists inspires new techniques and encourages continuous improvement. Lastly, don’t be afraid to experiment with styles and tools—digital or traditional—to find what best fits your artistic voice.
