I'm not ready but he still wanted to meet my fam

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a while, but I told him I wasn’t ready for him to meet my entire family yet — especially at a big gathering. I wanted it to happen naturally and when I felt comfortable. But he kept insisting, saying, “If we’re serious, I should be there.” Next thing I know, he’s asking to stay at my parents’ house for the weekend like it’s no big deal. I felt cornered — it’s not that I’m ashamed of him, but meeting my whole extended family all at once is overwhelming. My parents can be intense, and I wanted to ease into it, not dive straight into family dinner chaos...How would you deal with it?
