It requires a combination of environment management and tree maintenance in the right way.

1. Watering Strategy

Balance Point: Most garden plants like this (e.g. lavender, rosemary, agave) prefer modest water and do not like waterlogging.

Period: Watering should be done in the early hours of the morning, so that the soil drains moisture during the daytime sunny, reducing the chance of mold.

Drip Irrigation System: Drip Irrigation System is recommended, buried underground or hidden under a cobblestone layer. It saves water and makes the soil look clean.

Cutting Dry Blossoms (Deadheading): For lavender or other flowering plants, once the flowers start sprinkling, cut them off immediately, to encourage the plant to take nutrients to create new flowers instead of accumulating seeds.

Olive tree: The presiding tree (olive tree on the left) should prune the inner branches to sheer, so that sunlight reaches the trunk and dehumidifies the accumulation.

3. Hardscape Maintenance

Clean the stone: The bedrock seen in the figure is usually natural stone (such as travertine stone), should be washed clean with low pressure water periodically, to prevent moss and ingrained stains.

Weed management: Despite the sprinkling of cobblestones, in the long run the weeds may rise. It should be checked and withdrawn immediately. Do not let the roots go deep.

4. Soil and Fertilizer Nourishment (Soil & Fertilization)

Excellent drainage: Make sure the soil is transparent crumbly. If the soil is too tight, the roots will rot. Coarse sand or well drained planting material should be mixed.

Slow-melt fertilizer: Because this style of garden plants are often slow-growing, the slow-release fertilizer melt 2 times a year (early rainy season and late rainy season) is enough to make the green tree beautiful without accelerating until deformed.

5. Lighting Maintenance

Check the lighting system: In the picture, hidden lights are used along the walkway and tree lights (Up-lighting). Wipe the lamp from dust or water stains and check the bulbs that may be broken so that your night garden will always look as beautiful as your dream.
