Easy Garlic Butter Ramen

Such a simple but really good dish .

Grab any noodles . I’ve even used Cuppa noddles and just threw the seasoning it comes with away .

6 Tbsp of butter

4 Garlic cloves minced

2 to 3 cups of spinach or kale I usually use spinach

2 packs of ramen . Throw away any packets

3 Tbsp of low sodium soy sauce

2 fried eggs

green onion

In a skillet melt the butter and add the garlic while you stir . I keep cooking and stirring until it begins to carmelize roughly 3.5 mins . Then I add the spinach for another 3 minutes. .

While that’s cooking I cook the noodles according to the pack . Then drain when done. .

Add the noodles and the soy sauce to the skillet . Mixing it all up together getting the garlic butter all mixed in .

Take it off the heat . Serve into your two bowls top each with a fried egg and some chopped green onions .

So goood …

... Read moreI absolutely love how a few simple ingredients can elevate everyday instant ramen into something truly special! My journey with instant noodles used to be all about speed – just boiling water and adding the seasoning packet. But once I discovered the magic of garlic butter, it completely changed my ramen game. Now, it's not just a quick snack; it's a satisfying, flavorful meal that feels indulgent without any extra effort. While the original recipe is fantastic on its own, I've found a few ways to really make this garlic butter ramen sing and cater to different cravings. If you're like me and love a little kick, adding some spice is a must! A spoonful of chili crisp (my personal favorite for its texture and heat), a dash of sriracha, or even just some red pepper flakes stirred in with the soy sauce can completely transform the flavor profile. It's an easy way to get that 'spicy ramen noodles' fix without needing a whole new recipe. Another thing I often do is boost the protein. While the fried egg adds a wonderful richness, sometimes I want something more substantial. Pre-cooked shredded chicken (leftover rotisserie chicken works perfectly!), sautéed shrimp, or even pan-fried tofu cubes are fantastic additions. Just toss them into the skillet with the noodles and garlic butter for a more complete and filling meal, addressing those 'chicken instant noodles' or general protein-rich ramen cravings. When it comes to the garlic butter itself, getting it just right is key. I've learned that patience is a virtue here. You want to caramelize the minced garlic until it's fragrant and slightly golden, not burnt. Low to medium heat and constant stirring prevent bitterness and ensure that beautiful nutty flavor. And yes, fresh garlic makes all the difference – garlic powder just can't compare! For extra depth, a drizzle of toasted sesame oil right before serving adds a wonderful nutty aroma that complements the garlic butter beautifully. And those nori flakes mentioned in the image? They're a game-changer for texture and umami! I love crumbling dried seaweed sheets over the top for a little crunch and a savory, oceanic note. A sprinkle of sesame seeds can also add a lovely visual and textural element. Don't forget the veggies! While spinach is amazing, I sometimes switch it up with bok choy or even thinly sliced cabbage for variety. The beauty of this recipe is its flexibility. You can truly make it your own based on what you have in your fridge. With these simple additions and tweaks, you'll be making the most delicious 'garlic butter ramen noodles bowl' repeatedly. It's such a simple way to elevate an everyday staple into something extraordinary!
