Potato stacks are a delicious snack or side dish that showcases the versatility of potatoes. The basic ingredients include thinly sliced potatoes, cheese, and your choice of seasoning, making for a customizable recipe that's sure to impress. To prepare, start by slicing your potatoes thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife. Soak them briefly in water to remove excess starch, which promotes crispiness once cooked. After patting them dry, toss the slices with oil and your chosen spices. While harissa and honey bring a unique twist, feel free to experiment with other flavor profiles, such as garlic powder, paprika, or even Italian seasoning. Layering the potato slices in a muffin tin or baking dish, sprinkle cheese between the layers. This not only adds flavor but also helps bind the stacks together as they cook. For a healthier version, consider using reduced-fat cheese or skipping it altogether. Air frying the potato stacks makes the process quicker and results in a delightful crunch without deep-frying. Cook them at 400°F for around 25 minutes, checking for that golden-brown finish. These potato stacks can be enjoyed alone or served with your favorite dips, such as sour cream, guacamole, or a homemade aioli. They are an excellent choice for parties, casual gatherings, or even meal prep. Try them today and discover why they're so addictive!
