AUSTIN TX | my perfect day
Hello! I’m Aria and this is what my perfect day would look like — while not everything is in Mueller, everything is nearby and how I usually spend a really great day as someone who lives in the Mueller Austin area!
1) I would wake up and start the day by going for a walk to the park to see the ducks!! Morning is the best time imo, but people are out all day and so are the ducks. On the way or after, I usually like to grab a treat/coffee/ or brunch. Some of my favorite post morning stops are: Halcyon Coffee for a quick stop and Kerbey Lane Cafe or Rebel Cheese for a brunch. Pictured is the Lox from Rebel Cheese!
2) After a morning routine, I like to pick up my productivity for the day either studying or working on some projects/tasks for work. My absolute favorite place to spend a long day is Central Market on N. Lamar. Up the stairs (above the cafe) there are tons of seats and few distractions with a nice vibe. I love treating myself to gelato from the cafe after focusing all day. If you’ve never tried Central Market gelato, you need to go there just to try it!!
3) Once the sun cools down a bit, I like to get a late afternoon/evening swim at the Deep Eddy Pool before it closes. For nights that I want to continue my swim post-close, I hop over to Barton Springs (during the summer they have free morning/night entry!) but I love that Deep Eddy is still a natural water pool and is less crowded than the infamous Barton.
4) For dinner, I’d end my day and hit up Patrizi’s with friends for some pasta — one of the best food spots I’ve ever had!!! Especially in Austin!!! It’s always my go-to when taking friends from out of town, and it’s truly a crowd pleaser that never fails. It’s outdoors on a patio and connected to a funky cool bar.
