My first cousin
Growing up, I always thought cousins were just distant relatives, but getting to know my first cousin completely changed that perspective. One of the things that brought us closer was our shared love for Marvel comics and movies. Whether it was discussing the latest Avengers film or debating who had the best superpowers, Marvel served as a bridge that connected us on a deeper level. Our connection went beyond just entertainment; it became a way for us to create lasting memories. We often recreated iconic scenes, dressed up as our favorite heroes during family gatherings, and even started collecting Marvel memorabilia together. This shared hobby sparked countless conversations and helped us understand each other’s personalities better. Beyond Marvel, spending time with my cousin taught me valuable lessons about family support and understanding. We navigated through life's ups and downs, celebrating successes and comforting each other during challenges. The bond we formed showed me that family isn’t just about genetics — it’s about the moments you share and the support you offer. Reflecting on this relationship, I realize how important it is to nurture connections with extended family members. Sometimes, it takes finding a common interest, like a shared love for superheroes, to unlock a meaningful relationship. In my case, Marvel was more than just entertainment; it was the catalyst that helped me build a lifelong friendship with my first cousin.
