When selecting a primer, consider your skin type. For oily skin, mattifying primers control shine; for dry skin, hydrating primers add needed moisture. I like to gently pat the primer onto my face using my fingertips, focusing on areas prone to oiliness or texture. After the primer, I move on to foundation, which sets the tone for my entire look. Using a brush or sponge, blending the foundation evenly ensures a natural appearance. Contouring follows to define the face structure, while blush adds warmth and color. One important tip I found helpful is applying concealer after contouring to cover any blemishes or dark circles, enhancing the polished look. Finally, setting the makeup with powder keeps everything in place, followed by mascara to accentuate the eyelashes and lip color to complete the look.
