a grieving momma

As a grieving momma myself, I’ve come to realize that the journey through grief is not linear—it ebbs and flows, often catching you when you least expect it. What helped me the most was allowing myself to feel everything fully, without shame or judgment. Grieving is deeply personal; no two experiences are alike, so it’s important to find what truly nourishes your soul during such times. One aspect I found essential was seeking support from others who truly understood the pain—whether through grief groups, therapy, or compassionate friends and family. Sharing my story and listening to others helped me feel less isolated and offered new perspectives on coping. I also discovered the therapeutic power of writing and creating art, which allowed me to express emotions that were difficult to say aloud. Self-care took on a new meaning as well. Simple acts like walking in nature, journaling, or meditating helped me reconnect with myself and find moments of peace amidst the turmoil. I learned to honor my grief by carving out time to remember my child and celebrate their life, which gradually brought a sense of healing. For anyone walking a similar path, know that it is okay to seek help and to take each day as it comes. Grief may never fully disappear, but with time and support, the sharpness of pain can soften, allowing room for hope, love, and new joys to emerge. Remember, you are not alone in this journey. Many of us are here, holding space and walking alongside you through the darkness toward light.
