On heavy makeup days, one cleanse isn’t cutting it — and honestly, neither is one tone.

I used to think double cleansing was enough until I started using toner pads (or toner and a cotton pad) after and realized how much was still coming off my face. Not cute.

Here’s what I do now: Double cleanse — oil-based first to break down makeup and SPF, then water-based to actually clean Double tone with pads — like this green tea enzyme vitamin c brightening toner pads from - this is where you catch everything you missed. The pad physically lifts off any leftover residue, dirt, or makeup that your cleanse didn’t grab

It sounds like overkill, but when you see what’s left on the pad after “thoroughly” cleansing? You’ll get it. Your skin will also thank you — clogged pores and breakouts from leftover makeup (especially behind the ears and forehead line) are not the vibe.

If you wear full glam or heavy SPF regularly, this step is non-negotiable. Save this for your next makeup day 🤍
