Skincare done right ✨

If you’re throwing products on your face in whatever order hoping something sticks, we need to talk.

Skincare isn’t about having the most steps or the trendiest products. It’s about understanding what each product does, when to use it, and why it actually matters for YOUR skin.

I have acne-prone skin, hyperpigmentation, and large pores—so my routine is intentional, not random. Here’s how I think about layering:

Cleansers aren’t one-size-fits-all. Morning = gentle refresh. Night = deeper cleanse with actives like salicylic acid to actually prep my skin for repair. @Kate Somerville @Youth To The People

Toner rebalances pH after cleansing (especially if your cleanser has sulfates). Think of it like watering soil before planting seeds—it helps everything absorb better. In winter, I add essence for extra hydration. @Peach & Lily @Peach Slices @APRILSKIN US

Serums are the main character. Morning = antioxidants like Vitamin C for protection and glow. Night = retinoids, peptides, and repair serums that work while you sleep. Know what your skin needs before you stack them. @Caudalie @Estée Lauder

Treatments target specific problems. Hydroquinone for my dark marks (patience required), tretinoin for anti-aging and cell turnover, niacinamide for oil control and redness. These are the heavy hitters. @Musely @Vichy Laboratoires

Moisturizer locks it all in. AM = lightweight gel or cream that sits well under SPF. PM = rich, nourishing cream that repairs overnight when your skin actually absorbs it best. @Murad Skincare

Sunscreen is non-negotiable. Mineral (zinc/titanium dioxide) = physical block, great for sensitive skin, may have white cast. Chemical = absorbs UV rays, lightweight, seamless under makeup. Pick what works for you and actually wear it. @TIRTIR Inc.

My shower skincare routine
