How are we feeling about the Crumbl Cookie X Dove collab?

I’ve been seeing these all over my Walmart. The pieces even dropped by half. Honestly, I don’t care for it. I feel like they really flopped with this collab. I love dove and have just about all of their body washes and scrubs, but i will be skipping out on the crumbl collection.

I mean, who doesn't love a good cookie and a luxurious body care routine? The idea of merging two of my favorite things – the delectable flavors of Crumbl cookies with the trusted, nourishing formulas of Dove – sounded like a dream come true. I saw the vibrant displays of these pink-packaged body care products at my local Walmart, clearly marked as 'Limited Edition,' and my curiosity was definitely piqued.
The displays showcased various items, from 'Scrub' to 'Hand Wash,' all branded with both 'crumbl' and 'Dove.' The packaging itself was undeniably cute, drawing inspiration directly from Crumbl's iconic cookie boxes. I carefully looked at the different scent profiles: 'Strawberry Crumb Cake,' 'Confetti Cake,' and of course, the much-talked-about 'Lemon Glaze.' Each product seemed to promise a sensory experience akin to biting into a fresh cookie. I was particularly interested in the Dove body scrub lemon glaze, imagining a refreshing, zesty, and sweet aroma. But after seeing them up close, something just didn't quite click for me.
My initial excitement started to wane when I actually felt the products and took a closer look at the presentation. While the concept is fun, I found myself questioning if the execution truly lived up to the hype. Often, with food-themed collaborations, the scents can either be spot-on or fall completely flat, perhaps smelling artificial or just 'off.' For a body product, I want a scent that feels natural and luxurious, not just a sugary imitation. I wondered if these scents would be too cloying or if they would genuinely capture the essence of a fresh Crumbl cookie without becoming overwhelming during a shower or hand wash.
Specifically, when I considered the Dove body scrub lemon glaze, my mind went to what I truly look for in a good scrub: effective exfoliation, a pleasant and lasting aroma, and a hydrating feel afterward. I questioned if this 'Limited Edition' version would deliver on those core aspects, or if it was more about novelty. I've used countless Dove products, and I appreciate their consistent quality. However, sometimes these novelty items prioritize branding over the actual user experience. If I'm reaching for a lemon-scented scrub, I want it to be invigorating and fresh, maybe even a little uplifting, rather than just smelling like a baked good. I wondered if the 'crumb cake' or 'confetti' scents might feel heavy or synthetic after a while. For a truly great body scrub, I often lean towards those with natural exfoliants and essential oil-derived fragrances that genuinely uplift my mood. There are so many fantastic options out there that offer a more refined scent experience and superior skin benefits.
Ultimately, despite the clever marketing and the visual appeal of the CRUMBL COOKIE X DOVE display, I decided to pass on this collection. While the idea of a Strawberry Crumb Cake or Confetti Cake scented lotion sounds fun on paper, I felt that my hard-earned money would be better spent on Dove's classic, reliable lines, or on other body care products that prioritize skin benefits and sophisticated, lasting fragrances over a trendy, albeit short-lived, collaboration. Sometimes, it's okay to admire a collaboration from afar and stick to what you know and love. For me, I'll enjoy my Crumbl cookies separately and continue to rely on my tried-and-true Dove body washes and scrubs for my daily self-care rituals.
I have the deodorant and body wash soooo good I love it
