Healing Your Nervous Systems 💕✨️🌸
Everything I've learned in 2026 to heal my Nervous System 💕
Some of these may sound unhinged, but I'm calmer than I've been in years.
1. Protecting my cortisol levels by cutting out caffeinated drinks. My nervous system feels SO much calmer without the constant spikes and crashes... but it also really depends on the day.
2. Stopping sugary drinks because the blood sugar crashes were making my anxiety, irritability, and energy levels so much worse than I realized.
3. Drinking warm bone broth morning and night. This has honestly made one of the biqgest differences for me personally. It feels grounding, calming, nourishing, and comforting to my body,
4. Spending way less time on my phone because I noticed too much scrolling makes me feel overstimulated, irritated, disconnected, and mentally exhausted. But also still guilty of this some days. We aren't focused on perfection here.
5. Getting outside daily because fresh air, sunlight, and nature regulate me almost instantly.
6. Moving my body more because humans were never meant to sit inside all day staring at screens and TVs. Movement changes everything mentally and physically
7. Completely removing alcohol because even small amounts made my nervous system feel dysregulated afterward
8. Using my vibration plate almost daily because it helps me feel calmer, more grounded, and less tense
9. Using my red light mask consistently as part of slowing down and creating calming routines for myself.
10. Protecting my peace from constant negativity, chaos, gossip, and draining conversations.
11. Intermittent fasting... it has completely cleared up my brain fog too. Such a huge difference in how I feel. We aren't meant to eat constantly throughout our days.
Wait there's more, but I'll post more on the next one...

Over the past year, I've found that healing my nervous system involves both consistency and tuning into what my body truly needs. For example, beyond just cutting caffeine and sugar, I've experimented with mindful breathing exercises, which have helped me manage acute stress moments throughout the day. Incorporating gentle yoga and stretching routines further complemented my movement goal, making physical activity less intimidating and more enjoyable. Another game changer has been creating a dedicated quiet space at home where I can disconnect and recharge—this sanctuary shields me from everyday negativity and emotional overload. Initially, I struggled with intermittent fasting, but by adjusting the timing to suit my energy levels, I noticed a marked reduction in brain fog and improved focus, which sustained my motivation to persevere. Also, while the red light mask and vibration plate might sound unconventional, integrating these tools into my evening routine enhanced relaxation and deepened sleep quality, which is vital for nervous system repair. Nature walks became not just about physical movement but moments of mindfulness—observing details in nature helped ground my thoughts and reduce feelings of overwhelm. Through these steps, I’ve realized that healing the nervous system is deeply personal and requires experimentation with various practices. Being patient with setbacks and avoiding perfectionism allowed me to maintain these habits gently but consistently. Ultimately, protecting one's peace by reducing exposure to draining conversations or chaotic environments was key to sustaining this calmer, more balanced state. These insights, including managing cortisol and blood sugar fluctuations, resonate strongly with me, showing that holistic self-care—embracing both nourishment and mental boundaries—is essential for nervous system wellness.
