Time to heal

This message is for the woman who has ever felt like she was unraveling.

For the one who was running, hurting, ashamed, exhausted, and trying to escape what was happening inside of her.

I shared a real moment from my own life about seeing a girl running from the hospital and realizing… I had been her too.

There was a time in my life when I was in so much pain that all I could do was run.

And instead of judgment, what rose up in me was this:

Peace be with you too.

That is what grace looks like.

That is what healing sounds like.

That is what God can do with a life that looked completely broken.

This is not about reliving trauma.

This is about telling the truth, finding compassion, and showing women that survival mode is not the end of the story.

You are not too far gone.

You are not beyond peace.

You are not beyond God.

She put on her armor of God and went on her way.

... Read moreReading this deeply personal reflection reminded me of the many times I've felt completely lost and desperate to escape my own pain. Like the woman running from the hospital wearing grippy socks, I've experienced moments where running seemed like the only option—just to survive the overwhelming emotions inside. But what resonates most is the gentle reminder that there is no need for judgment, only compassion and peace. In my own healing journey, embracing spirituality and daily rituals helped me regain strength. Each morning, I found solace in quiet moments—whether it was reading scripture, meditating, or simply walking outdoors with a pet. Taking life one day at a time, I learned that healing doesn't mean forgetting the hurt; it means facing it with kindness and grace. The metaphor of the "armor of God" is powerful. It symbolizes the protective strength faith can give when life feels broken. Trusting that peace is possible and that God can transform shattered lives brought me hope during the darkest days. This message encourages all women in survival mode to know they are not too far gone—there is still light, love, and healing available. Ultimately, the article is a call to honesty and empathy—for ourselves and others. It’s okay not to have it all figured out, and every small step forward counts. For anyone reading this who might be struggling, remember: you are not alone, and peace can find you exactly where you are. Putting on your armor daily, whatever that means to you, empowers you to keep going on your unique path to healing.
