I've been working on a Linga counterpart for my Yonis for a loooong time. There's so much depiction of HARD LONG TALL AGGRESSIVE and I really wanted to show a softer side. A more receiving side.
I’ve spent hundreds, if not thousands, of hours thinking about how I wanted to create this piece...drawing, re-drawing, on and on for years now. And then honestly asking myself… should I even be the one to make this?
I’m a cis(ish)-gendered woman, and my first Yoni was a self-portrait of my experiences within my body. I know that masculine and feminine energy exist in all of us, and that they don’t align strictly with gender identity or $3x characteristics. So could I do this justice without the experience of having these physical parts? Would I be helping or hurting?
This piece has actually been finished for a few months now, but I guess I’ve been having a lot of conversations about it in my head and psyching myself out.

Building on my journey to create the 'Divine Masculine' suncatcher, I've realized this concept is so much more than just a piece of art. For me, exploring the divine masculine hasn't been about gender, but about uncovering an essential energy within us all – a presence that's steady, protective, and deeply intentional. It’s a profound strength that isn’t aggressive, but rather, rooted in quiet confidence and unwavering support. When I first started conceptualizing my stained glass piece, I found myself wrestling with common archetypes. The world often paints masculine energy as dominant or forceful, but my personal experience and observation taught me something different. The true divine masculine, to me, embodies a grounded wisdom, a gentle leadership, and the ability to hold space for others without overshadowing. It’s the calm in the storm, the protector who doesn't need to brandish a sword, but rather, offers a strong, loving embrace. This "softer side" I aimed to depict is, in fact, incredibly powerful. It’s about being present, discerning, and creating a safe container for growth and creativity, just like the steadfast structure of my copper wire design. Many search for a 'divine masculine symbol,' and while my teardrop-shaped stained glass suncatcher with its white and purple glass, dried white flowers, and delicate rose quartz aims to be one, symbols are deeply personal. What resonates with one person might be different for another. For some, it might be the stoic mountain, for others, the steady rhythm of the ocean. My piece, with its frosted crystal drop, serves as a meditation on this energy – a reminder of its clarity and depth. My 'confession' isn't just about the art's creation, but also about my ongoing personal journey to understand and integrate this energy. It’s an invitation to explore your own 'masculine perspective,' regardless of your identity. What does the 'sacred divine masculinity' mean to *you*? Is it an inner guardian, a creative force, or the quiet strength you draw upon in challenging times? I believe this energy calls us to cultivate integrity, focus, and a deep sense of responsibility, not just for ourselves, but for our communities. It's about building, providing, and standing firm in our truth, all with a heart-centered approach.
