Kayaking 🛶 At Lake Pleasant
Went kayaking 🚣♂️ at Lake Pleasant and I had so much fun. It was my first and I fell in love with it. Any suggestions anywhere else to go kayaking in Arizona?
If u have any out of state I will take them in mind too :)
Wow, my first kayaking trip at Lake Pleasant was truly unforgettable! After getting my feet wet (literally!), I've been doing a little more digging into what makes this spot so special, and wanted to share some more tips for anyone thinking of heading out there, especially if you're new to 'kayaking in Arizona'. First off, Lake Pleasant is absolutely perfect for beginners. The waters are generally calm, especially in the mornings, which makes it less intimidating. I'd definitely recommend going early to beat the heat and the boat traffic. When I went, I rented my kayak right there, which was super convenient. They usually have single and tandem options, so you can go solo or with a friend. Don't forget sunscreen, a hat, plenty of water, and maybe a waterproof bag for your phone and essentials – trust me on the waterproof bag! Exploring the various coves and quiet corners of Lake Pleasant by kayak lets you get up close with nature, and I even spotted some birdlife. The scenery is just incredible, with the desert mountains meeting the clear blue water. It's such a peaceful escape from the city hustle, making it a top contender for 'kayaking Arizona'. Beyond just traditional paddling, I've also learned that Lake Pleasant has a lot more to offer, especially if you're looking for more thrills! For instance, if you're searching for 'Lake Pleasant water park', you'll find places like Scorpion Bay at Lake Pleasant Regional Park and Pleasant Harbor that boast huge inflatable water parks. These floating obstacle courses look like an absolute blast, especially for families or groups who want to add some extra splash to their day. It’s a totally different vibe from the serene kayaking experience, but equally fun if you're into jumping, sliding, and climbing on the water. It’s definitely on my list for a future outing to experience another side of Lake Pleasant. And speaking of future outings, since my first trip, I've been itching to explore more amazing spots for 'kayaking Arizona'. While Lake Pleasant is fantastic, I've heard amazing things about paddling the lower Salt River – apparently, you can sometimes spot wild horses! Tempe Town Lake is another urban option for a quick paddle, and Saguaro Lake offers stunning red rock views and hidden canyons. It's incredible how many diverse kayaking experiences Arizona has to offer, from tranquil desert lakes to flowing rivers. I'm really hoping to try some of these soon. If anyone has been to these or other hidden gems, I'd still love to hear your recommendations – both in Arizona and beyond! Sharing our favorite spots is the best way to discover new adventures and keep this newfound passion going.
