MoeJoe is the Captain.

Everyone meet my Poochie Man MoeJoe Jojo. On this day it was raining outside. To know MoeJoe is to know he does not like the rain, so leaving him outside in the car is never an option.
I went to buy him a raincoat from Petco. They have really cute clothes for your poochies if you are interested at decent prices I may add.
I was happy that the store didn’t give us a hard time about bringing him in. He really is a good boy. He is very nosy, but he will look and observe instead of barking. He really enjoyed being pushed around in the store. It was like he was captain of the buggy.
He really is my best friend. No he can’t talk, but I believe that is a good thing. For the right snack, he would probably tell all my secrets lol.
It's so true, some of our furry friends just aren't fans of the rain, are they? Like my MoeJoe, who thinks even a drizzle is the end of the world! But life, and potty breaks, must go on. That's why finding the right raincoat isn't just about fashion; it's about making those essential outdoor moments more comfortable for them and less stressful for us. When you're picking out a raincoat, think about a few things. First, fit is key. You don't want it tight or restrictive, but loose enough that it doesn't chafe. Look for adjustable straps around the belly and neck. Second, material matters. Waterproof, lightweight fabrics are best – bonus points if it's breathable so they don't overheat. And consider coverage: does it protect their belly from splashes? Does it have a hood that actually stays on? I've found that some brands offer full-body suits which are fantastic for keeping paws and legs drier, especially for breeds with longer coats like Shih Tzus. For my little guy, keeping his long fur from getting matted by rain and mud is a constant battle, so a good raincoat really helps. Beyond the raincoat, a few other rainy day tips can turn a soggy outing into a mini-adventure. Always have a towel ready by the door for a quick paw wipe-down – it saves your floors and prevents skin irritation between their paw pads. For dogs who really hate getting wet, consider waterproof boots. It takes some training, but it can be a game-changer! Start with short periods indoors, lots of treats, and positive reinforcement. Another trick is to make the indoor environment extra stimulating on rainy days with puzzle toys or indoor games, so they don't feel like they're missing out. And for those like MoeJoe who get to be the 'captain of the buggy' – what a fantastic way to include them in outings! Pet strollers aren't just for older or smaller dogs; they're brilliant for protecting paws on hot pavement, navigating crowded places, or simply giving your pet a comfortable ride when their little legs get tired. It makes every trip feel like a special excursion, and they get to observe the world from a safe, elevated spot, which can be great for their mental stimulation without the physical exertion. It's like a VIP tour for your best friend! Taking your furry friend to pet-friendly stores like Petco can be such a fun experience, too. It's a great way to socialize them and expose them to new sights and smells in a controlled environment. Just remember to keep them on a leash, respect store policies, and bring some treats for positive reinforcement. Always check a store's pet policy beforehand to avoid any surprises. These little 'raincoat adventures' and shared outings are all part of creating those wonderful memories and making sure our pets feel loved and included, even when the weather isn't cooperating. So, next time the clouds roll in, grab that raincoat and get ready for some cozy, splash-free fun with your own little captain!
