I have just been In the book series zone and cannot stop reading! The Court of Thorns and Roses Series by Sarah J. Maas was an excellent series and one of my favorites. I have continued to read series’ and this “trilogy” was next on the list!

Personally I have chosen not to read Powerful because it steers away from the main characters and plot and is about the character Adena, and how she survives in the slums.

After absolutely devouring the ACOTAR series, I was on the hunt for something equally captivating, something that would sweep me away into a new magical world. And let me tell you, Lauren Roberts' 'Powerless' and 'Reckless' series did exactly that! It's not just a book; it's an experience that had me glued to the pages from start to finish. What makes this fantasy romance dystopia so utterly compelling? For starters, the world-building is phenomenal. It’s a harsh, intriguing dystopia where powers are a curse and survival is a daily struggle. But amidst this, there's a burning romance that feels both fated and forbidden, pulling you in with every stolen glance and tense encounter. The dynamic between the main characters, Paedyn and Kai, is electrifying. If you're like me and you love a good enemies-to-lovers or morally gray hero, their chemistry will absolutely hook you. Readers often wonder about specific characters, and while the article shared a general review, I can personally attest that you'll become deeply invested in the journeys of Paedyn, the 'Powerless' street smart survivor, and Kai, the prince who finds himself inexplicably drawn to her. Their individual struggles and intertwined fates are what truly drive the narrative and make you root for them against all odds. I rated 'Powerless' and 'Reckless' a full five stars because they deliver on every front: thrilling plot twists, emotional depth, and a romance that sparks off the page. The quotes shared in the original review only scratch the surface of the poetic and impactful prose you'll find throughout. Each chapter left me yearning for more, a sure sign of an unforgettable series. Now, about the third book, 'Powerful' – the author's note about it steering away from the main plot and characters with Adena's story is spot on. While it offers a different perspective and expands the world, if you're primarily invested in Paedyn and Kai's story, you truly won't feel like you're missing out by skipping it. However, for those who love deep dives into side characters and the gritty realities of a dystopian setting, 'Powerful' might offer some interesting world-building insights. It's a personal choice, and I appreciate that the author pointed it out! And the best part? There’s an upcoming book, 'Fearless,' slated for 2025! Knowing there’s more to come in this incredible series makes the wait agonizing but totally worth it. If you're a fan of high-stakes fantasy, intense romance, and a dash of dystopian intrigue, then do yourself a favor and pick up 'Powerless' and 'Reckless' by Lauren Roberts. It might just become your next favorite series, just like it did for me!
