you won’t BELIEVE what my TODDLER snacks on!? 🍽️
#summerwithkids #lemon8challenge
I am so grateful that my kids LOVE eating healthy.
A big part of summertime is always making sure I’m keeping up with not only our busy summer schedule but healthy choices throughout the week.
We don’t always get to sit down as a family and sometimes our dinners are just drive thru.
So when we are snacking throughout the day. I love to have more healthier options for my kiddos to pick from.
A simple fruit plate is always the best & easiest way to allow my toddler to snack as she plays or if I’m busy doing something allows some time for her to snack while I sneak in a quick ten minutes through a mid day summer family rush!
Between summer camps and dance classes drop offs and family reunions knowing that my kids love healthy snacks but also seamless and mindless fruit plates take no longer than 5 mins which really help when I’m on a time crunch!
We always keep GoGo squeezes on hand!
I highly suggest an apple slice cutter, it just allows quick prep especially when my boys are home.
Bananas, oranges and usually grapes or some pre cut cheese squares and they are truly getting those core food groups a single and busy mama can miss. !
In the heat of summer it’s good to know I can sneak in quick nutrients that keep my kiddos fed and still receiving those core daily nutrients!

As summer rolls in, keeping toddlers nourished can sometimes feel like a challenge, especially with packed schedules of camps and activities. The key to ensuring your toddler eats well lies in preparation and simplicity. A well-balanced fruit plate can offer an array of vitamins, minerals, and fiber that support your toddler's growth. Consider incorporating a variety of colorful fruits, like cutie oranges, bananas, and apples, to not only make the plate visually appealing but also to introduce different tastes and textures. Some easy snack tips include using tools like an apple slicer which significantly cuts down prep time, allowing a busy parent to provide quick yet healthy snacks. Additionally, squeeze pouches like GoGo squeezes are excellent for on-the-go snacking, giving your child a nutritious option that is both fun and mess-free. By keeping staples like pre-cut cheese squares and grapes on hand, you can ensure your toddler gets the essential nutrients they need while keeping lunchtime exciting. Don’t forget to involve your little ones in the prep! Letting them help in the kitchen can increase their willingness to try new foods. Ask them to pick their favorite fruits for their snack plate or let them arrange their meals. This engagement not only makes the process fun but also encourages healthier eating habits. As a busy parent, you want seamless solutions; the aim is to ensure your toddler stays satisfied, nourished, and ready for summer fun!
