Charlie’s First Day of Kindergarten 😭❤️
Charlie’s first day of Kindergarten is finally here! 😭🩷 We’re so proud of this sweet girl!
In case the board is hard to read, she loves her family, playing with her brother, and looking at her brother’s cute little face. Also, she wants to be a pizza chef when she grows up!
Oh, where do I even begin? Charlie’s first day of Kindergarten was such a whirlwind of emotions! It feels like just yesterday she was a tiny baby, and now she's off to big school. For weeks, we'd been counting down, and she was so excited, especially about getting to wear her new pink tracksuit and her sparkly leopard print backpack. We even practiced taking photos with her 'First Day of Kindergarten' sign in the living room, giggling about all the things she loves – her family, playing with her brother, and, of course, her big dream of becoming a pizza chef! That morning, the air was buzzing. We had a special breakfast, and then it was time to get ready. Seeing her eyes light up as she put on her new clothes was just the sweetest. My heart was a mix of bursting pride and a tiny pang of sadness, knowing this was another step towards her independence. We made sure to capture plenty of photos with her holding her sign, a precious memory of this milestone. Her brother was right there beside her, making funny faces, which always makes her happy. Their bond is just the cutest! The drive to school felt so short, yet so momentous. We walked her to her classroom, and she barely looked back! She was so eager to explore, to meet her new friends, and to start learning. It’s amazing how quickly they adapt. Of course, I might have shed a tear or two on the way home, but they were happy tears. Tears of pride for my brave little girl embarking on this new adventure. For any parents out there preparing for their child's first day of preschool or kindergarten, my biggest piece of advice is to prepare them as much as you can. We talked about what school would be like, read books about starting school, and even visited the playground a few times beforehand. Letting them choose their own leopard print backpack or a special teddy bear to bring along (if allowed!) can make them feel more in control and excited. And remember to take all the pictures! That 'First Day of Kindergarten' sign becomes such a treasured keepsake. It's been a few hours now, and I’m just so eager to pick her up and hear all about her day. I wonder if she’s already made a best friend or if she’s thought of a new pizza recipe! Watching her grow and chase her dreams, whether it's being a pizza chef or anything else her heart desires, is the most incredible journey. Every parent feels this deep connection to their family and seeing their children thrive is what it’s all about. So proud of my sweet Charlie!
