🏗️ Yamanashi Prefectural Police arrested the director of the "Junko" demolition company in the Minami Alps on suspicion of violating the Immigration Law, creating conditions for illegal labor.
👮 Three workers (two Chinese and one Thai) were found to have overstayed their stay while working after a dispute with residents near the construction site.
📄 The suspect said he checked his residence card but did not confirm it later, saying that he would sometimes take people back to China himself, but often received referrals from other companies.
💴 One defendant claimed to be paid about ¥1 a day and sent money back to his family; the company's revenue in 2024 was about ¥276 million.
🔎 Police are investigating the possibility that the use of illegal resident labor has taken place over a long period of time.

日本における不法就労問題は社会的に大きな関心事であり、今回の山梨県での逮捕事件はその一例です。私自身、建築現場での労働者不足を実感する中、合法的に働くための手続きの重要性を痛感しています。 今回の事件では、解体会社の社長が労働者の在留カードを十分に確認せず、結果的に不法滞在者を雇用してしまいました。労働者のうち2名は中国人、1名はタイ人であり、いずれも在留期限を超えて働いていたことが判明。こうした状況は、現場でのトラブルの発端にもなりやすく、地域住民とのトラブルも引き起こしました。 なお、この会社の2024年の売上は約2億7600万円にのぼり、日当は1万円程度であったとのこと。報酬は労働者の家族への仕送りに充てられていましたが、不法就労の問題は労働者本人の生活だけでなく、企業の社会的信用にも大きな打撃を与えます。 私の経験から言うと、外国人労働者の雇用においては、ビザや在留資格を徹底的に管理することが不可欠です。例えば、定期的な在留カードの確認や法改正の情報収集、信頼できる仲介業者からの紹介を活用することがトラブル回避に効果的と感じます。 また、不法就労の摘発は労働市場のルールを守るために必要ですが、それと同時に外国人労働者の権利保護や適切な労働環境の整備も求められます。社会全体で法令遵守の意識を高め、適正な労働慣行を育てていくことが重要だと思います。
